Street Rental provides technology to independent rental Operators.

Operators may independently collect and use renter information for their own rental operations and may have their own privacy obligations and notices.

Where Street Rental processes renter information on behalf of an Operator, the Operator determines many aspects of the underlying rental relationship.

People visiting Street Rental's public websites.

4. Information from Third Parties

Street Rental may receive information from third-party services used to provide Platform functionality.

Examples may include:

  • payment and transaction status from Stripe
  • identity verification status from Stripe Identity where enabled
  • vehicle information/location from Smartcar where configured
  • mapping/location information through supported map providers
  • communication-delivery information from communication providers
  • authentication/infrastructure information from platform providers

Street Rental infrastructure may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as:

7. Operator-Controlled Uses

Independent Operators determine many renter-facing policies and business decisions.

Operators may control:

  • renter eligibility
  • driver requirements
  • age requirements
  • rental agreement terms
  • deposit requirements
  • cancellation/refund policies
  • pricing
  • insurance/coverage requirements
  • pickup/return instructions
  • enabled rental workflows

Street Rental provides technology supporting these activities but does not independently determine the Operator's rental policies.

8. How Information May Be Shared

Street Rental may disclose information:

With the Relevant Rental Operator

Renter/reservation information may be made available to the Operator providing the rental.

With Service Providers

Only as necessary to provide Platform functionality.

For Legal/Safety Purposes

Where reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect rights, prevent fraud, or address security threats.

Business Transactions

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable law.

Payments and connected Operator accounts.

Identity verification where enabled.

Smartcar

Connected vehicle functionality where configured.

Database, authentication, storage, and Platform infrastructure where used.

Communications functionality where configured.

Mapbox

Mapping functionality where used.

Hosting / Infrastructure Providers

Used to operate Street Rental applications and websites.

Third-party providers have their own privacy practices.

10. AI and Automated Assistance

Street Rental may introduce or provide AI-assisted or automated features where enabled.

If such features process personal information, Street Rental will use information as reasonably necessary to provide the feature and will provide additional notice where appropriate.

Automated output should not be treated as guaranteed accurate or used as a substitute for emergency, legal, insurance, or safety-critical advice.

Street Rental may use essential technologies necessary for:

16. Operator Requests vs Street Rental Requests

Renter information may be processed in connection with an independent rental Operator.

For requests concerning a specific rental relationship, Street Rental may direct the individual to the applicable Operator.

Street Rental may assist Operators with privacy-related requests where appropriate.

Street Rental remains responsible for requests concerning information it controls independently.

17. Children's Privacy

Street Rental is not designed as a service for children.

Operator accounts should be used only by individuals legally capable of entering into applicable agreements or acting on behalf of a business.

Rental eligibility and minimum driving age are determined by the applicable Operator and applicable law.

18. International Use

Street Rental services and service providers may process information in jurisdictions different from where a user is located.

Where legally required, appropriate mechanisms may be used for international data transfers.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Street Rental may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When material changes are made, reasonable notice may be provided where required.

The Effective Date should be updated when a revised Privacy Policy becomes effective.
